The installations and paintings seek to reflect the political exigencies of our time: the devaluation of international news, the ownership of media by a small number of companies and the co-ownership of media and military companies. We have recently experienced unilateral war, no-bid contracts and the suspension of constitutional liberties. America as defined by our bill of rights is in a state of flux.

Detention without trial is a relatively new phenomenon. We have been attacked by an enemy unknown to the American public. Conversely we have more information available on the internet and less information available on network news. The who, what, where and why of journalism has been replaced by the vapid pursuit of celebrity news and crime. The American public is at risk for mis-information and the rise of opinion as news.
